High quality lubricants specifically formulated for high-speed four-stroke cycle diesel engines that meet 2010 on-highway and Tier 4 non-road exhaust emission standards, as well as older model diesel engines. These oils can be used with diesel fuels containing sulfur levels up to 500 ppm, although using fuels with more than 15 ppm sulfur may affect the durability of exhaust after-treatment systems and oil drain intervals. Designed to enhance protection against oil oxidation, viscosity loss, and various forms of engine wear, API CJ-4 oils also help maintain the performance of advanced emission control systems, including particulate filters. They exceed the performance standards of previous API service categories, therefore are backward compatible. Available in both synthetic and mineral grades.
