Applications

API CI-4 was developed to improve engine reliability fitted with exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system
in place and intended for use with diesel fuels ranging in sulfur content up to 0.5% weight. Introduced in
2002, it was designed for 2004 exhaust emission standards implemented in 2002. Recommended for all
modern diesel engines fitted with latest generation after treatment devices. Can be used in all land
based diesel engines including:

  • Diesel powered large trucks, buses and construction machinery.
  • Light duty diesel cars, vans and buses.
  •  Naturally aspirated and turbocharged diesel engines.
