SOLAR Premium Series Diesel Engine Oils 10W40 API CK-4
Description
Introducing API CK-4 oils that are specifically formulated for high-speed four-stroke cycle diesel engines that meet 2017 on highway and Tier 4 non-road exhaust emission standards, as well as older model diesel engines. These oils can be used with diesel fuels containing sulfur levels up to 500 ppm, although using fuels with more than 15 ppm sulfur may affect the durability of exhaust after-treatment systems and oil drain intervals, so consulting the engine manufacturer is advised. Designed to enhance protection against oil oxidation, viscosity loss, and various forms of engine wear, API CK-4 oils also help maintain the performance of advanced emission control systems, including particulate filters. They exceed the performance standards of previous API service categories like CJ-4 and CI-4, ensuring effective lubrication for engines requiring those specifications. They are available in synthetic and mineral grades.
